LONDON — About 1,300 pigs have been killed and a barn heavily damaged in a fire Tuesday morning in Huron County, Ont.

Police have closed St. Augustine Line between Hawkins Rd. and Nile Rd. in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Township as members of the North Huron fire department battle the blaze.

The loss from the fire has been estimated at more than $800,000.

Police said the cause is unknown, but it is not believed to be suspicious.
