An 11-year-old Mississauga boy missing since Monday night has been found safe.

Peel Regional Police confirmed that Shaundrey Knight-Bryce was located in the Jane St. and Finch Ave. area of Toronto Tuesday afternoon. The boy previously lived there before moving to Mississauga with his family less than a year ago.

Police say the boy made his way to the area by himself last night. He was found when someone saw media reports about him and contacted Toronto Police.

Peel Const. Fiona Thivierge said it’s not clear why the boy disappeared but added that police will not be releasing additional information. The child is with his grandparents and will be returned home soon.

Knight-Bryce is in good health, she confirmed.

“He’s okay,” Thivierge said. “He hasn’t eaten so he’s hungry.”

Knight-Bryce was reported missing last night around 9 p.m. He was located shortly after 1 p.m.
