BRAMPTON, Ont. - A man in his 20s was found apparently frozen to death in a Brampton field early Thursday.

Peel Regional Police say a citizen made the grisly discovery while walking through the green space northeast of Centre St. N. and Vodden St. E., an area bounded by three schools, just after 7:30 a.m.

“Although there was no visible trauma to the body, we initially treated the death as suspicious,” Const. Lillian Fitzpatrick said Thursday.

However, she said investigators have since determined no foul play was involved.

“The Coroner has ruled the death was accidental,” Fitzpatrick said.

The field where the dead man was found is shared by Kingswood Dr. Public School, Sir John A. MacDonald Middle School and St. Anne Separate School.
