EDMONTON - Tories can cast their vote for Alberta’s next premier on September 6, says the Progressive Conservative Association of Alberta (PCAA).

The first vote in the 2014 leadership race is set for Saturday, Sept. 6, and the second vote, if necessary, will be Saturday, Sept. 20, said PCAA President Jim McCormick.

The candidate who receives more than half of the total votes cast on the first ballot is party leader and premier of Alberta. If no candidate comes out with more than 50% of the vote, a second ballot will be held for the top two contenders.
