TORONTO -- The body found on a frozen piece of shoreline in Whitby, Ont., is that of missing jogger Jeffrey Boucher, his wife said Sunday.

Kirsten Boucher told QMI Agency she is "not waiting for confirmation" from an autopsy as an inscribed wedding ring found on the dead man's finger is proof of his identity.

Durham Regional Police officers retrieved her husband's wedding band, which was found on a finger of the body discovered Saturday on Lake Ontario's shoreline, near Thickson Rd. and Crystal Beach Blvd., she said.

Boucher added the ring has her name inscribed on the inside.

"His (wedding) ring was on his finger ... I have it here," Boucher said from the family's home. "(The police) said, 'There's a ring on his finger. I said read the inscription, and yep'."
