OTTAWA -- Recovery is going well for Tyson, the German shepherd who made headlines two weeks ago after bystanders saw him being dragged behind a truck.

According to the Ottawa Humane Society, Tyson's injuries are healing quickly, but the pup isn't quite ready to find his forever-home yet.

"Tyson has an ear infection right now," said Natalie Pona, communications manager at the Ottawa Humane Society.

"But his wounds are coming along well."

Tyson is the second local canine to be in the news this year.

Breezy, who made headlines when she was beaten and left in a dumpster, was recently adopted.

While Tyson isn't far behind, he will have to wait a few more weeks.

"They're just trying to stabilize his ear infection right now," said Pona.
