CALGARY — Hundreds of family members and friends gathered Monday to celebrate the short, but purposeful and passionate life of Jordan Segura, one of five young adults killed last week in the city’s worst mass murder.

Segura, 22, was remembered fondly in a ceremony that included many laughs and many tears.

“A good word for Jordan would be integrity,” older brother Jullien Segura told the crowd.

He spoke about how he and Jordan resembled each other, though Jordan would happily point out Jullien was shorter.

Jayda Shreenan, one of Jordan’s close friends, told the crowd about his smile — one of the most beautiful things she’s ever seen — and his loves, passions and quirks.
