An 18-year-old is suing the Halton Catholic District School Board for millions after ripping open his arm on an old and controversial form of safety glass at his high school. Sean Lloyd, now graduated, said Tuesday he found himself running late for one of his Grade 12 classes at Assumption Catholic Secondary School in Burlington last May 9, and began a quick trot down one of the school’s first-floor hallways. Like he had done countless times before, Lloyd said he pushed with both hands on the upper pane of glass of a hallway door to open it.
