Domestic violence in Ottawa gets reported 3-5 times a day. Nearly 90% of the time, a man is responsible for the violence. That's higher than the national average.

Women caught in abusive relationships may be even more prevalent than we think, suggests alarming statistics from a new study.

One in four Canadians have tried to help a friend leave an abusive partner, according to new data from the Canadian Women’s Foundation.

Women are also more likely to be violently victimized by someone they know, like a sexual partner. And the results suggest such situations are scarily all too prevalent.
