Mayor Rob Ford says if he doesn’t deal with his demons, “I know I am going to die.”

And with that, he told me he is going to “step away” from his re-election campaign and the mayor’s job to “deal with” his addictions.

He will go into rehab immediately.

“I know I have to,” the 44-year-old mayor said in an interview. “I know it is time.”

A video being shopped around by a “drug dealer,” allegedly containing images of Ford apparently buying and smoking crack from a pipe was being shopped by a woman who contacted the Sun Tuesday.

The Sun did not negotiate for the video or see it. But the person said there was also a “second video for sale.”

This video, said the person, showed an “intoxicated” Mayor Ford at a bar near his Etobicoke home where he was “combative, belligerent and profane.”
