Ontario’s Liberals have edged past the Progressive Conservatives in support among likely voters, an Abacus Data Poll shows.

Kathleen Wynne’s Liberals lead with 36%, Tim Hudak’s PCs are close behind at 33% and Andrea Horwath’s NDP are in third with 24%.

Abacus Data Inc. CEO David Coletto said the results haven’t changed dramatically from previous polling but do show Liberal Leader Kathleen Wynne shored up some of her support during last week’s campaigning.

A deeper analysis of those numbers reveals any of the three major parties can win the June 12 election, he said.

“There’s still lots of potential for swing in particularly Liberal support,” Coletto said Monday. “They’re firming it up but it’s also probably the most open to change.”
