The victim of a brutal attack by two vicious pitbulls said she had to sacrifice her right ear to avoid being bitten in the neck.

And Deanna Wolfe testified Monday the onslaught, which occurred in a town 130 km northwest from Calgary was ordered by the home’s resident, Rita Phillip.

She said Phillip became enraged when Wolfe told her she was going to return to Calgary after spending more than two weeks living at the accused’s home.

She said Phillip went outside and got the pitbulls, Cody and Sunny, and brought them back in, unmuzzled.

Wolfe told Crown prosecutor Britta Kristensen she and Phillip talked at a bedroom door, with the dogs at her feet.

“She pushed the door and told the dogs to attack, attack that bitch,” Wolfe told a Court of Queen’s Bench hearing.
