BRAMPTON, Ont. ó Police have reunited a mother with her toddler, who was found wandering alone in this city west of Toronto Monday morning.

The little girl, believed to be between two and three years old, was seen walking towards the bustling intersection of Hwy. 7 and Creditview Rd. around 9:45 a.m. A driver spotted her, picked her up and called 911.

The mom was at home when the child disappeared, Const. George Tudos said. They were reunited at a Brampton fire hall after the girlís picture appeared on social media sites and TV, which prompted friends who recognized the child to call police.

ďItís difficult sometimes watching a young child, especially if they canít communicate with you and they always tend to go where they want to, so you really have to keep a good eye on them,Ē Tudos said.

Police said itís too early to speculate whether charges will be laid.
