Ontario’s PC and NDP parties reacted quickly with accusations of “corruption” and “scandal” to a report about new developments in the gas-plant scandal, including the revelation that former premier Dalton McGuinty had been interviewed by police.

OPP officers also served Queen’s Park staff with a court order for key records about the $1.1-billion cancellation of two gas plants, according to the Ottawa Citizen.

Ontario PC MPP Lisa MacLeod called for “a judicial inquiry under a new government.”

“It is clear that the public can’t trust Kathleen Wynne and the Liberals,” Ontario PC MPP Lisa MacLeod said in a statement Thursday night. “The only way to get to the bottom of this scandal is through a judicial inquiry under a new government.”
