One of Infinite WOOFS Animal Rescue Society volunteers found a cat as a stray and looked for about a week for his home. In the last day his testicles started to swell and it was evident that he was in pain. We rushed him to the vet immediately and upon inspection found an elastic band wrapped around his testicles and penis. This cat has now been named Chronos, and is now under infinite WOOFS care. The elastic band was cut off but now Chronos has a massive infection and fears are he may be septic due to this elastic band being on for so long. Chronos is on high dose anti-biotics but may need further care, treatment and surgery.

EDMONTON - Chronos the cat is on the mend, and his rescuers are looking for help.

A volunteer with Infinite WOOFS Animal Rescue Society had noticed the well-groomed cat hanging

around her house for a week in the Oxford neighbourhood, near 129 Street and 160A Avenue, said WOOFS president April Oakes.

On June 5, the seven or eight month old cat bolted into her home and the search for his owner began.

It wasn't until Sunday night that the volunteer noticed Chronos's testicles were red and swollen and that he was in distress.
