Three evidence tags can be seen next to what appears to be drag marks on the walkway of a home where three people were reported missing Monday.

Running about eight metres from a side door to the driveway, the marks look like dark liquid that was recently cleaned up.

Alvin Cecil Liknes, 66, his wife Kathryn Liknes, 53, and their five-year-old grandson, Nathan O’Brien were reported missing Monday afternoon.

An Amber Alert was issued and police said evidence at the scene suggests their disappearance is suspicious.

The couple held an estate sale at the home over the weekend, however police aren't sure if that is related.

Sherry Card was at the sale on Saturday and said things appeared normal.

The couple looked to be in the process of moving, said Card, as belongings were packed up.

"It was a typical garage sale, they were getting rid of most of their stuff and keeping some of it," she said.

"(Kathryn) seemed really nice, she didn't seem to be in distress or anything."

Alvin is described as white, 6-ft., 200 lbs. with a slim build, and grey-blond hair.

Kathryn is white, 5-ft.-3 and 120 lbs. with red-brown hair and green eyes.

Nathan is white, 3-ft. with blond curly hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 403-266-1234 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
