TORONTO -- Doug Ford apologized Friday for one of two "jihad" comments he made this week, but not for the other.
City News reporter Cynthia Mulligan said she was about to go on air at 6 p.m. on Wednesday when the city councillor and mayor's campaign manager passed by and asked if she was done with her "jihadist attack."
No other reporters were within earshot, she added.
The apology came two days later.
"When I talked to him (Friday), I brought it up," Mulligan said. "He did not deny saying it and he acknowledged that it was a poor choice of words. And I asked him if he would apologize and he said 'Yes, I'm sorry.'"
