TORONTO - Fit, trim, happy and focused.

Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair seems in a good place these days.

Man, he’s looking good. Really good.

I spent a day with him out on Lake Ontario and had a good chance to chat about a numerous subjects, including his lack of apology from Mayor Rob Ford, Const. James Forcillo’s work status and the chief’s assessment of his own force.

The first thing that strikes you about Blair is his extreme weight loss. The giant is still a tall man, but much thinner.

“Yes, it’s at 80 pounds,” he said of his weight loss.

Wow. Fantastic. How the heck did you do that chief?

“I put a tourniquet on my throat,” he joked.
