TORONTO -- The company behind Superman has refused to allow the use of the comic book hero's famous logo on a statue of Jeffrey Baldwin -- a little boy and Superman fan who was killed in 2002 by abusive grandparents.

Baldwin was five when he died of septic shock and starvation while under the care of his maternal grandparents, who were each convicted of second-degree murder.

During last year's lengthy inquest into his tragic death in Toronto, an Ottawa father of three felt so touched by the little boy's plight, he decided to make sure his memory lives on.
