Police are seeking a man who was naked when he sexually assaulted a woman in Queen’s Park Cemetery.

They say that at 1 p.m. on July 12, a woman in the north end of the cemetery near a creek was accosted from behind and thrown to the ground.

The woman was ordered to take off her clothes by the man, who’d thrown himself on her.

But when the woman fought back, the man fled to a group of trees.

He’s described as white, 5-ft.-7 tall, in his late 40s and weighing 140 lbs.

The suspect has protruding lips, is possibly toothless and has brown, chin-length hair.

Police are warning Calgarians to be aware of their surroundings, reduce their distraction by mobile devices and stay in populated, well-lit areas.

They also suggest pedestrians let others know where they’re going and to trust their instincts if they become suspicious.
