EDMONTON -- Albertans 55 and over do not support a new design for their license plates, a new poll shows.
"If there is a group of Albertans that is particularly distraught by the proposed change in licence plates it is those aged 55 and over," said Mario Cancseco, VP of public affairs with Insights West.
"Almost two thirds disagree with the government, with half of them voicing strong disagreement."
Insights West's poll found 60 per cent of Albertans disagreed with removing the "Wild Rose Country" phrase, while only four per cent would choose the Alberta.ca proposed for the plates.
The results were based on an online study from July 15 to 18, asking 603 Albertan adults who are panel members on yourinsights.ca .
