TORONTO -- "The last thing he said to me was, 'Bye, mom, I love you,'" Shelley Bailey recalled Tuesday, the day after her teen son Tyler was struck and killed by a commuter train.

"That's how we ended all our conversations. I'm just totally devastated, this doesn't feel real," she said.

Her 17-year-old son was with four others when he stumbled onto the tracks at the last second as a GO Transit train passed by, police said.

A witness told QMI Agency she heard teenaged boys being loud and "having a good time" on the tracks before the incident.
