The wait is excruciating but, so far, they have no other option, says the sister of the lone Canadian victim aboard Malaysia Airlines Flight 17.

“We are taking this one day at a time and seeing where it takes us,” Alexandra “Lexi” Anghel said Wednesday from her family’s Ajax home. “There is really nothing else we can do right now.”

Her brother, 24-year-old medical student Andrei Anghel, was on board the plane that was downed last Thursday in Ukraine, killing all 298 aboard.

A week alter the Anghel family said they are still no closer to having an answer of when they will have their son and brother returned to them.
