Katz came under fire this week after it was revealed tax documents from his Scottsdale, Ariz., mansion listed the million-dollar home as his primary residence.
Robert Pizorno, the communications director for the Maricopa County Assessor’s Office, said as of Thursday, that is no longer the case.
“As of today, July 24, 2014, Sam Katz has returned the required form indicating his Scottsdale address is not his primary residence. Our records will be updated shortly to reflect this,” Pizorno wrote in an e-mail.
Katz has not commented publicly on the mishap -- he’s been away on a family vacation in Canada, said Carmen Barnett, his communications director. She said earlier this week that Katz has always listed his primary residence in Winnipeg and the titles office in Arizona was responsible for relaying that information to the assessor.
