TORONTO - Mayor Rob Ford went for coffee with Deadmau5 Wednesday.

Actually Ford ended up ordering five espressos in one cup from Tim Hortons while the music producer and DJ had a double-double.

For around half-an-hour, Ford traded in his Cadillac Escalade for the DJ’s Purrari — a 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider (F1 edition) — as they went on the coffee run. The ride was all captured on video for Deadmau5’s popular YouTube series, Coffee Run.

Deadmau5 posted video of the run to Tim Hortons Wednesday afternoon.

“I figured we’d have some kind of gnarly police escort,” he tells Ford as they start the journey.

“No, it’s OK,” Ford tells him.

During the drive, Ford admitted he sometimes speeds up in cottage country.

“Sometimes I open it up, if the cops catch me I’m toast, that’s the problem,”

Deadmau5 tells Ford: “Nobody is above the law, not even the mayor.”

“That’s for sure,” Ford said.

The two talk about football, potholes, traffic, drive-thrus and coffee.

A fairly candid Ford rants about the Pan Am Games BMX track in Etobicoke — even swearing about the “f---ing track” and complains about distracted drivers — not those on their phones but those who eat and drive.

The embattled mayor does touch on his notoriety and talks about being swarmed by people.

“Fifty per cent love me, 50% hate me,” Ford tells Deadmau5.
