Mouldy pot has prompted a B.C-based producer to recall a batch of medical marijuana.

Whistler Medical Marijuana Corp. issued a voluntary recall for its White Widow strain (Lot L0004) on Friday after two customers complained about the product’s appearance, leading to testing that found the presence of mould, said Health Canada.

Neither the company or Health Canada have received any reports of people falling ill from using the recalled marijuana.

“Mould does not present a significant risk to healthy Canadians. However, for Canadians whose immune system has been weakened by other serious illnesses, mould could cause infections,” Health Canada said in a statement.
