EDMONTON -- The family of a toddler killed by an alleged drunk driver is paying the support they've received from the community forward, donating thousands of dollars to another family devastated by another impaired driver.

"What incredible human beings you are. Your loving spirit and amazing generosity are such a wonderful memorial to your beautiful baby boy," read a message from Tracy Lee Christoffer on the Justice for Geo Facebook page. "You could easily have turned bitter and ugly but instead went this loving and beautiful route. Bless you both and may the world learn a lesson from you."

On May 19, 2013, George Mounsef and his wife Sage Morin were having dinner at a restaurant with their toddler Geo when a SUV accelerated through the patio and struck and killed the two-year-old.

Police allege 62-year-old Richard Suter shifted into drive rather than reverse. He faces charges of impaired driving causing death, impaired driving causing bodily harm and refusing to give a breath sample. He is currently out on bail.

Community support poured in for the family, with numerous fundraisers raising thousands of dollars over the past 15 months.
