BROCKVILLE, Ont. — The body of QMI Agency sports editor Steve Pettibone was found Wednesday, near where his car was discovered abandoned at the side of a road west of Brockville, Ont., the night before.

Police say no foul play is suspected.

Pettibone vanished without a trace while on his way to work at the Brockville Recorder and Times on Monday morning. He left his Belleville home, about 160 kms away, at 7:30 a.m. but never arrived at work.

His car was found at about 6:15 Tuesday night. Police teams searched the wooded area Wednesday morning after darkness ended their attempts Tuesday night.
