Should MPs tweet in both official languages?

Canada’s language watchdog has launched a probe into Foreign Affairs Minister, John Baird’s personal Twitter account.

This is raising some eyebrows given the fact that many MPs have personal Twitter accounts and the language watchdog is concerned that accounts doesn’t contain enough French.

It raises questions about whether MP’s accounts are professional or personal and whether should fall under language law requirements.
