TORONTO -- Mayor Rob Ford and Olivia Chow were open to scooping up any possible Karen Stintz votes on Thursday.

While Stintz didn’t come out endorsing any candidate, both Ford and Chow were quick to signal that they were now the best candidate for any of her supporters.

Ford — who clashed with Stintz at City Hall over transit and was caught earlier this year making lewd comments about her in an Etobicoke bar — thanked her for “supporting the taxpayers’ agenda through 11 years.”

“She’s very fiscally responsible with taxpayers money, I respect that,” Ford said at City Hall on Thursday.
