It's not a long weekend without high gas prices

TIMMINS, Ont. — Just in time for the long weekend, gas prices are trending up across the province, according to the website www.gasprices.org.

On Thursday, the average price for one litre of regular gas in Ontario was $1.30.412, compared to $1.29.886 a day earlier. A week ago, the average price was $1.28.200.

One month ago, the average was $1.31.900. One year ago, it was $1.29.706.

The following are regional market prices reported Thursday. Each price listed is the lowest in that particular market for one litre of regular gas:

- Timmins -- $1.39.6/litre

- North Bay -- $1.25.7/litre

- Sault Ste. Marie -- $1.39.9/litre

- Toronto -- $1.24.4/litre

- Ottawa -- $1.19.8/litre

The lowest price reported in Ontario on Thursday was $1.10.9 in Cornwall. The highest was $1.52.9 in Parry Sound.
