A bandit roadblock... well now I've heard everything. There are palm trees and beautiful beaches all over the world, I think it's time to show Mexico they have to earn our tourist dollars.

As for Uplink, yes, I do bash the right far more than I bash the left, but that's because the far right poses much more of a threat than the far left does. Don't get me wrong, I don't like the far left at all, but it's the far right that has me most worried for our future, with people like Glenn Beck at their helm. If you don't mind I'll gladly stand here in the middle and keep pointing at people who flock to political extremities.

I am probably never going back to Mexico. Strangely, I feel being robbed/mugged in a foreign country, alot worse than being violated in Canada. Im glad my timeshare i bought in mexico, allows me to exchange travel to other countries that seem to be more stable. good bye Mexico! Your problems dont have to include me.

NO!!!!

What was it Jay was saying on the other thread about "not to blame one side or the other"?

I have yet to see you say anything negative about the leftards except when you add comments like that after a snide comment about conservatives.

Do you really think you fool anyone into believing you are anything but a bona fide conservative hater like our village idiot?

I'm no member of the Stephen Harper fan club, but he and his party are by far the best of the poor choices offered.

About the single doctor thing. It's something is strongly dislike about the liberal mentality. Second, third, fourth, fifth (etc)... chance. Why is it so freakin' hard to fire people who aren't fit for the job. People just don't see stealing taxmoney as a crime. If anything people feel entitled to it. I'm pretty sure that doctor doesn't mind giving people more government money, and I'm pretty sure those people don't feel an ounce of shame inflating their likely ill deserved welfare cheques.

“At least Flaherty was smart enough to know it was a bad idea."

Lol - I was referring to the Amero :)

Today Canada issued an "urgent" travel advisory recommending tourists avoid northern Mexico and exercise caution while travelling anywhere in Mexico.

Jay from Ottawa, 2010-03-16 16:22:30 Posted: "I'm surprised conservatives aren't jumping on the Amero bandwagon "because they view it as an attempt by U.S. businesses to gain access to Canada's extensive natural resources while dismantling the nation's social services." Isn't that what you guys always wanted?"

Did BrucetheIDIOT hijack your name, Jay? Fiscal conservatives certainly don't want to dismantle social services but they would appreciate a means test or a financial discovery. For example, there is one (1) doctor in west Toronto that has issued 60% of all the "enhanced diet" certificates for the entire city. This little certificate qualifies someone on welfare an extra $250 a month for food. The good doctor is known not to bother questioning or examining the "patients" he is just thrilled to have the business because for each visit he gets to bill OHIP.

Social services are supposed to be a safety net for the needy and are not begrudged by fiscal conservatives. The absolutely RAMPANT abuse of all social services, like blind wide open door immigration, is just a vote catcher for Liberals.

And: "Seems to be the primary foothold for the popular conservative other than not allowing men to be butt buddies. At least Flaherty was smart enough to know it was a bad idea."

Did you mean the butt buddy thingy or the Amero thingy?

Yes

Canadians have become targets there. So nope, I will never, ever set foot in Mexico.

Anybody regretting the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) yet ? Or is it a good thing to be cutting jobs in Canada and moving them to mexico. Create Canadian jobs ... we just got rid of a bunch, so I guess it makes sense that we need some back, but not the bad ones, no we only want the good jobs.

Helping the crime situation in mexico must have been what was on Martin and Bushes minds when they created the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP).

And then we had idiots in canada pushing for the Amero. Can you just imagine what it would be like if our currency was linked to Mexicos ?

I'm surprised conservatives aren't jumping on the Amero bandwagon "because they view it as an attempt by U.S. businesses to gain access to Canada's extensive natural resources while dismantling the nation's social services." Isn't that what you guys always wanted ? More USD style business and less social services ? Seems to be the primary foothold for the popular conservative other than not allowing men to be butt buddies. At least Flaherty was smart enough to know it was a bad idea.

Well, we might have spent the last decade of so opening doors and building bridges to mexico for the economic advantages. Maybe it's time we pick our friends more carefully, and really think twice about integrating anything with mexico for 'economic gain' until mexico cleans up its act.
