very shameful act by RCMP, tasors are being abused by police depts, they must be banned as our police dept's do not know when they are justified, these officers in Vancouver must be made accountable for their lack of any sort of common sense or procedure. It was very obvious that there were no weapons displayed and no person in the public was at harm.

The RCMP has employed goons for years. This sort of thing shouldn't come as a surprise.

These are big cops and there was afer all a language barrier that may have taken a little longer to get through to. Perhaps an interpreter could have been called at the same time time cops were. Maybe one was. We do know the full details. There is a danger to society in that it was a secure area and the man could have had explosives nearby - would the Taser have set them off were they on him? I don't know but I trust the police involved, all of them, had good reason to act in the sequence they did. Will have even more angry police if we did not support them against crime, and we will only be harming ourselves. These guys are human, and there are many women who by virtue of the fact they are women cops, have often less bulk and strength against male and druggies and unstable females, so I think we have to support them and not drive these people from the force and the common good. The RCMP need to be given the opportunity to investigate this themselves as they alone have the procedures they are instructed to follow. If we choose to take drugs then our hearts can give out with the drugs and a Taser is often only incidental - I don't know if drugs were involved or not. Maybe the guy was so agitated because he had a shipment of drugs hidden somewhere and they got left behind. Let's support our police until they have been proved to have done somthing over the top. We are too fast to support those who harm our officers mentally as well as physically.

I have always been an advocate of law and order, and a strong supporter of the police in general, but the behaviour of those Mounties at the airport was despicable.

There was no need to taser the man in the first place, and then to pile on top of him when he was writhing on the ground was brutal.

They killed him and should be charged with manslaughter.

trials? police brutality? police state? these are pretty unreasonable comments . talk about overreaction. These officer used poor judgement and shouldve tried to restrain him physically at first. Tazers are not lethal weapons thats why they are approved for police work. anyone who thinks police want to kill people are really out of their head.

I watched the video and am disgusted. There was nothing to suggest that a taser was a reasonable level of force. The guy wasn't even throwing punches and he had no weapon. There was no threat to the officers or anyone else. Apparently an 85 year old man was recently tasered twice in Kelowna for getting "aggressive" after police insisted on ticketing him for double parking. What is going on?Call your politicians and police superintendents and let them know you're not happy with abuse of authority.

Yes they do.4 armed officers to take down one person? No the officers involved used excessive deadly force that was unnecessary. As our ability to record anything anywhere grows, more incidents like this will be revealed. Now we have proof of excessive use of force by police officers. The police serve the public not the govt.Officers around the world will do well to remember that.

It seems Polish Guy was pretty whacked out.I've never liked tasers because it's percentage technology,90%.Cops have to start earning what they do and take that man down manually.Unfortunatley the police were right under the law.In Canada we are letting technologies that are not proven dictate.

Just about the most sickening thing I have ever seen. Where is the training with these people? Where are the help for these people at our ports who don't speak English. I have to tell you I am restraining my comments.

Hello I'm from Poland. We are in Poland shocked. This man was hungry, thirsty, and as a smoker wanted smoke cigarete. He spend 15 hours in plane and next 10 hours in airport. Everyone could be angry and nervous. This was a regular murder. Many people will be tomorow under Canadian embasy to protest, and burn a candle for a memory of our brother. Shame on you Canada. Is this a way as you welcome your new citizens. With guns? Why nobody help him to find his mother. Why nobody help his mother to find him?
