I knew Brenda personally during many of her years in Puerto Vallarta. This outcome was inevitable. We knew it would not be 6 months before the Canadian taxpayers paid again for her upkeep. She left a trail of destruction in Vallarta, and will leave a wake of miserable self-inflicted wounds in Canada. There is so much more to her story We tried to tell people, none beileved us. Not once in 10 years I know of, has Brenda accepted responsibility for her actions. Answer this; why did she run from Canada in the first place?? Look for the pattern.

Ron,Could you repeat that again. People who don't have anything worth while to say can only repeat themselves. Is this your plea to the world for attention.Have a nice holiday in some corrupt country and don't leave your hotel ,just in case your in the wrong place at the wrong time. Some view this as reality which you need another prescription for.

Humm Brenda Martin, a loser before a loser yet again. Some people just don't get it. I wonder if she has a political party affiliation? Guesses?
Hammertime, 2010-01-15 16:23:27
You figure after landing in a mexican jail she'd do anything to avoid further incarceration.
But no, they told her she'd go back to jail if she was stupid enough to get smashed in public, and what does she do ? Gets smashed in public... Grow a sense of responsibility Brenda.
My favorite picture of her is the one on the article where she's being sent back to jail. She's trying her best to bust out the puppy eyes, trying to look like someone who did nothing wrong...
Go directly to jail Brenda,
Do not pass go,
Do no collect 200$
Something my father taught me a long time ago when I was a child. "People aren't willing to help someone who isn't ready to help themselves".
How can you expect Canada do defend you when you can't even stay off the hootch ? actually, she didn't have to avoid it, she just had to not make an ass of herself in public.

Why would it cost $82K to repatriate this sot? We have travelled to Mexico at least 10 times in the last 20 years and our TOTAL expenses are a fraction of $82K.
The same whackos that wanted Brenda repatriated are the same bleeding hearts that want us to rescue Khadr. Now a good portion of the morons that supported the Liberal/NDP push to retrieve Canadians from foreign custody are, typically, complaining after the fact.
Go figure...oh yeah, as usual they want their cake...they want to eat it too...they want it free...then they complain and claim it was REALLY a croissant they wanted.
Now, predictably, they will blame Harper.

What did we get for our money? Just like at Xmas when you get something you didn't want but can't return.

Jim,
I completely disagree with you. The Cdn govt did not show courage to bring Brenda home. They displayed weakness in the face of misguided public opinion and her friends like you Jim who believe that her punishment didn't fit the crime.
If Brenda wanted to misbehave she should have stayed home. As for you Jim, your view of the world strikes me as quite limited.
Ron
Guess what Ron, I completely disagree with you. Hey alkie, not everybody agrees that her behavior is excusable. Obviously you do, but I guess its ok to drive drunk as well right you pathetic alkie.
paul, 2010-01-11 17:26:55
BOO HOO Poor Brenda. Again. Damn you Stephen Harper. Why aren't you helping break poor Brenda out of jail?? We need an inquiry!
D GRIFFITH, 2010-01-09 12:27:22
Only $80,000.
It pales in comparison to the $3 billion lost by HRDC, or the payoffs and kick-backs of Shawinigate et al.
And you phoney Liberal Hypocrites are only whinig about this because the woman is white.
If she were a visible minority you'd all be licking her shoes to gain Libtard points.
The list does on and on, but the Libs are grasping at straws because....
How do you spell Liberal Party?
