Brenda Martin turned in Rebecca Roth ( an American she worked with) to get privileges. This woman is still in jail in Mexico & last I heard has been sentenced to 9 yrs. Brenda Martin turned her back on her. Brenda says Rebecca is guilty but she herself is not??? Why haven't we heard more about Rebecca?
It seems to me that Ms Martin is a wee bit manipulative & has conned a lot of people...
If she sincerely was appreciative she might offer to repay the kindness that has been bestowed on her. Instead she suggests in a televised interview that she has not closed the book on suing the Canadian people.
Brenda...what goes around..comes around Brenda. Careful deary...

I'm impressed that her team was able to play the press to the max and influence our politicians and public opinion. You can bet that it had an influence on her getting back to Canada.Maybe Stephane Dion should hire her and her team to sway public opinion in their favor. It obviously worked for her.Maybe if Stephane cries on tv and says he can't take it much longer then public opinion will swing to his side.Well done Brenda !!

Hammer lieingly says about Brave Brenda that she..
"will get to scam again another day.
she'll get busted again for sure."
Making up stories again Hammer?
Maybe you can prove those statements?
If she is such a threat to commit a crime, OUR PM Steve Harper would not have spent so much money and time on here then made sure she was released from jail very quickly.
A very good thing you did for Brave Brenda Steve
For once you did something for Canadians and not do as Bush told you to.
Then again, maybe Bush did tell Harper to help Brave Brenda .Telling Harper it will be good for his chubby image
EH?

Randy says to me, tweetypie..
"I Sure as hell know for a fact that if Paul Martin would have brought her home at the same cost you would have fully supported him"
Well ya??
DUH
Why wouldnt I?
I did say it was a wonderful thing for Steve Harper to spend at least 90,000 Dollars of tax payers dollars to bring Brave Brenda home the order her immediate release from jail.
So why would I have not supported Martin for doing the same thing for Brave Brenda?
EH?

One point about the Brenda Martin saga still puzzles me! If Brenda had no knowledge of Alyn Waage's scheme as she has publically stated; then why would she 'turn in' or 'rat out' Rebecca Roth who was jailed as a result of Brenda Martin's information to Mexican authorities. Rebecca Roth was recently sentenced to nine (9) years' in a Mexican jail under the same circumstances as Brenda was sentenced. I believe Rebecca is going to appeal. Would Brenda not have to know something/have knowledge in order to point a finger at Rebecca Roth?

funny ruben. I think it's a joke, a bad joke actually. And I'd compare T4's with anyone.
What could income have to do with it? She's a convicted criminal, she'll get busted again for sure.
Thats enough of Brenda (the ex-con) Martin for me. This crook will get to scam again another day.
Brave Brenda HA, crying whining complaining and some have the audacity to call her brave, gulible naive people.
Hammertime, 2008-05-11 20:25:42
Sure it could have cost a lot less to bring her back, but politicians have no sense of a budget.
They send a bunch of fat-cat politicians down there when only one person is needed, plus they charter an expensive private plane.
Moral of the story: don't ask the government to do something if you want it done cheaply.
gordholio, 2008-05-11 20:15:34
they should throw her back in jail where she belongs
bruce, 2008-05-11 14:34:53
good to see her home.thats money well spent.rather they fly her home than put money in their pockets.i paid my share of taxes and its good to see her home.naysayers are probably the small earners in society.
