When did anyone state her case was mishandled (Canada or mexico)
She has been charged, just not gone to court and according to the Mexicans, her lawyer has stalled it.

Can people not see the obvious facts staring at them in the face! There is no charges for 2 yrs., no evidence against her, An affidavit was signed by the guy saying she's innocent, a Canadian Government & a Mexican Government have all stated officially that her case was mishandled & yet she is still in jail. Does it have anything to do with $500,000 owed to the Mexican Judge & prosecuter by the idiot who is comfy in the U.S. jail who started this??? After reading the other comments it appears to many people spout off about things w/o being fully informed on the facts. Would this happen to an immigrant in Canada??? I think not, & our Government should get off their ass and bring this lady home!!!!

The Canadian Government has intervened about as much as it can. It has, so they say, spead up the process and will hopefully have a conclusion soon. If the Mexican Government came to Canada demanding the same many of you would be telling them this is our country keep out. If her innocence is certain then it is a truly said story but reminds us yet again, other countries don't operate as fair as we do. We can boo hoo about our judicial system but when compared to most other countries on this planet we have it very good, don't forget that when you leave for vacation.
I hope Brenda gets home soon.

Martin is going off past liberal policies of releasing criminals. She is probably aware of Harprers tougher stance on crime.
Martin seems to just want air time herself. She complains about everyone.
apperently its more inportant to visit her in jail then meet with the people who can actually speed up her trial.
When you do meet with her, she complains they are doing nothing and its just a photo op.
Maybe she should shut her mouth. Hasn't her lawyer ever informed her anything she says can and will be used against her?

An MP is driving by the zoo, when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion’s cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the cuff of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents.
The MP jumps off his bike, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch.
Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the MP brings her back to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly.
A reporter has seen the whole scene, and addressing the MP, says: “Sir, this was the most gallant and brave thing I saw a man do in my whole life. What do you do for a living?”
“Well, I’m a Member of Parliament. And, it was nothing, really. I just saw this little kid in danger and acted as I felt right.”
“Well, I’ll make sure this won’t go unnoticed. I’m a journalist, you know, and tomorrow’s papers will have this on the first page. What party are you with?”
“The Conservative Party of Canada.”
The journalist leaves. The following morning, the MP buys the paper to see if it indeed brings news of his actions, and reads, on the front page:

I have to agree with Bill, this woman is her own worst enemy. Guilty or not bashing the people who offer assistance is just plain stupid.
She is at fault for putting herself in this position, no one else, especially our governmet is to blame. I mean for crying out loud lady, watch what you say.
Don't get me wrong I believe that she deserves a fair and speedy trial, but it seems the she and her lawyers are a big part of the problem. Now all the lefties get their knickers in a knot without placing any blame on Martin herself.
I'm sure there are more resonable innocents around the world who deserve the help that the lefties are demanding.

I listened to Brenda's telephone comments on the national news last night. I WAS NOT IMPRESSED. For a so called meek and mild persons she sounded like a real #*%^$&% that wasn't getting her way. She is starting to deflect on the wrong people. This story is such a rollercoaster that even if she is found guilty (which I thinks she is) Canadians will twisted it around. People just remeber OJ. That says it all. Politicians should stay the hell out of this. She has a lawyer. The Mexicians claim the delays are because of Brenda Martin. They are ready for trail. I say to Brenda, the ball is in your court. Lets get it done OR ARE YOU AFFRAID OF SOMETHING YOU HAVEN"T TOLD US?
