Hmmm, I think the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq prove this much more than awarding the Order of Canada to Dr. Henry Morgentaler, who has saved millions of innocent women's lives. After all, if innocence is based on the ability to choose, a fetus is neither. If innocence is based on legal premises, again, a fetus is neither. If innocence is based on action, a fetus is 'guilty'. However, those civilians who were injured or died are clearly innocent, on all grounds just as these women were. Or are you going to tell me that those who deny others the use of their organs are proof that "Canada endorses the killing of innocent people", as well?

Abortion not only sucks the life of the child , it destroys the womens soul and relationships, the men are never the same as the guilt of murder hangs over them. Fetus means little one, little huiman life, not tissue. Shame on the people that gave this award. Morgetaler has killed thousands of Canadians. He get the money the women and men try to live with themselves, usally turning to addictions to cope. What health care is this the women double there chance of breast cancer. That only costs more , and more. The womb has become the most unsafe place in the world. The award for getting rich off evil is more like it.

I think he definitely deserves the Order of Canada. I think what he's done for women's health over the years is an exceptional success for ALL Canadian women. If not for him, women would still be dying in backwater, dirty storerooms from sepsis as well as other complications. It's a woman's right to choose what she does with her body, and with Morgentaler's help, it has become a safe and clean process. I commend him for paving the way for other physicians who would follow in his footsteps.

Morgaentaler is not hero, he did not give women the right to choose. He gave them a place that was just cleaner then Old doc Joe's kitchen table. Morgentaler's clinics have an estimated gross annual revenue of $11 million. Yep he is doing it for the love of women money had nothing to do with it.

I totally resent my taxes paying for this form of birth control and making this man richer.
