Whatever the case me, after sustaining abuse and torture for 6 years, he is NOT going to try to associate himself with this kind of behaviour ever again. I think the Canadian public has already voiced their opinion on whether or not Omar Khadr should return to Canada.
How you ask?? By one of the best ways we have in a democracy, and which the Taliban or Al-Queda do not permit, a demonstration and rally.
Th Khadr family held a rally in Toronto not very long ago which received much press coverage. They had a population base of over 4 million people to draw from and from the most cultural diverse City in North America, Toronto.
Toronto has just about every culture, race and religeon in the world and they all have the right to attend whatever gathering, protest,rally they want. Then again Toronto has one of the largest populations of lunatics in Canada too. Well with such a diverse population and press coverage, the Khadr family had 200 supporters show up, including their family so maybe 150 of the lunatic fringe. There was more press and police, 1 cop for every rally member. From a population that has tens of thousands of Muslims,recent immagrants and American hating people, also Conservatives and Liberal and of course those of us born Canadian. Yet from all that populaiton base, 200 (including family) showed up to support the traitor Omar Khadr. By the way if the Taliban was in power in Khandahar and they tried that each one of the would have been killed, along with family members. So hear the family tried to use a deomocratic right to support a son and regime that would not permit even talk of such an event. The lack of attendance speaks volumes that there is no support from the Canadian public, no matter what thier background is, for this creep. If anything this topic has brought Canadians closer together since they have something common to hate and it is Omar Khadr His family comes a close second for supporting him and the Terrorist Organization while milking the Canadian Democracy that they are trying to destroy.
The Canadian public has spoken and it says, in the very least, "let him stay in jail".
