In the 1980s, the hippys whined about stuff made in Japan. That stuff from Japan was ofcourse far superior to anything any north american boomer could ever produce, but it wasnt cheaper. So, those hippys forced the WW2 vets to retire, took over the desk jobs those vets CREATED, and had everything made in China by commy slaves. thankyou hippys.dumbasses

The Asian market never took anything, we or should I say those in power of the big corps gave it to them. The very companies we give tax money love their bottom lines. The "job creators" are creating jobs just often somewhere else. over the last 30 years we have let this happen. China owns the US because they sold themselves. It wasn't sneaky china or sneaky Korea it greedy Corporate CEO's selling us out for a bigger bottom line.

I agree with redneck, but thats only part of it. Weve been told since Mulruiny we need to import hundreds of thousands of workers every year to fund boomer retirement. Then, at the same time, these boomers are shipping the jobs to the countries these people came from ??? Have they been putting LSD in the water the last 20 years ? I only drink boiled tapwater.

I don't think American Protectionism poses a big threat to Canada. I think this big push is the politically correct way of saying "We must stop, or at least slow, the Asian economic train which seems to be going full speed ahead down the ecomomic track taking work and products from America." People know that China Japan, South Korea and India have taken much production from the shores of North America. There is a strong movement to stop this, which I agree with. As for hurting Canada? Nadda, U.S. needs us to much, well mainly our oil and fresh water.

Another reason this train needs to be slowed way down is these Asian countries are not trying to built environmently friendly factories, watch their carbon footprint or have much worry about nature. That in itself is a crime agains humanity.

Actually Jon - The Real Jon Says, it was me who said ..

"America just being America is a threat to everyone."

And it was you, or whatever jon, said I was wrong.

But yet I am very much correct. Just look at the problems America has created in the middle east. Not to mention their own country, which then affects everyone. so indeed, America just being America is a threat to everyone

Wow. That daddy just full of name calling and personal attacks yet again claiming to know best.

But yet dad was totally wrong about how much CP you can collect at 60, even thinking that CP and Old Age Pension was the same thing. He says no one wants or will work for his imaginary company, even with free food as a bribe.

But somehow he is an expert on the American economy?

Dont think so.

Jon Said:

""America just being America is a threat to everyone." Please do not mistake my comments for this lookalike poster.

America had always had protectionist policies and always will. Any free trade means free for them. It's never been any different so don't expect it to change any time soon.

PS guy's rent was not the question here lay of the wacky bakky before you post.

All I know is unsubsidized renters pay way too much, and Laytons subsidized boomer-trash pay way too little.
