Are you offended by Fox News? Thu, April 7, 2011 Four hundred rabbis will publish a letter Thursday calling on Fox News to sanction host Glenn Beck for repeated use of Nazi and Holocaust imagery and for airing attacks on World War Two survivor George Soros.
Are you offended by Fox News?

Jay from Ottawa, 2011-05-06 11:38:03 Yeah, Fox News, in fact any information source, has much to fear from Monsanto. They have the resources to litigate detractors into the poor house. If they ultimately lose a case they can also recoup any losses by charging more for their GM seeds.
As to Prosilac, although it is not in our milk there is no doubt it is present in processed foods. I'm guessing, currently, the milk from rBGH treated cows is much cheaper than non-rBGH. That's incentive sufficient for food processors. So, dairy milk chocolate bars etc probably contain rBGH milk.

Offended by Fox "News"? Naw... I just dont watch it anymore. besides, it isn't actually news. It is just Republican propaganda.

The squashing of the investigation into Monsantos "Posilac" just shows that while they have no problems distorting the truth (see: Fox wins right to lie in news) they will easily scrap actual, REAL, controversial news (which they're always looking for) to avoid going to court. It appears that distorting the truth to gain popularity and viewers is acceptable but saying the truth can be too costly and thus should be avoided if it comes with legal threats.
For a little background it was a segment called "the investigators" which was looking into the widespread use of rBGH (Bovine Growth Hormone) in the United Stated.
It should be noted that The United States is the ONLY developed nation to permit humans to drink milk from cows given artificial growth hormone. Posilac was banned from use in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and all European Union countries (currently numbering 27), by 2000 or earlier. It should also be noted that in 2007, the state of Pennsylvania adopted a regulation that would have banned the practice of labelling milk as derived from cows not treated with rBST. In other words, the FDA said it's safe to use even though every other developed nation has banned it, but furthermore Pennsylvania wanted to make it illegal for producers to label non-rBGH milk as non-rBGH.
Corporate influence and its reach into governmental and regulatory bodies, backed up by 'law' and lawyers, is a debauchery, an insult and threat to integrity and morality.

Re: Fox wins right to lie in news, you do realize FF that this applies to all networks, not just fox. Also, you do realize that these rulings are american and do not have any relevance to what is broadcast in Canada?

Its incite not insight FF, me thinks you have more to worry about than whining and complaining about Fox News. You people do know you have a choice not to watch right? I certainly don't and I am certainly not offended either, this is Canada.

Fox wins right to lie in news
dailykos.com — FOX asserted that there are no written rules against distorting news in the media. They argued that, under the First Amendment, broadcasters have the right to lie or deliberately distort news reports on public airwaves. And it worked - they won their case. During their appeal, FOX asserted that there are no written rules against distorting news in the media. They argued that, under the First Amendment, broadcasters have the right to lie or deliberately distort news reports on public airwaves. Fox attorneys did not dispute Akre’s claim that they pressured her to broadcast a false story, they simply maintained that it was their right to do so.
and now with Sun TV we have invited this kind of exceptance into Canada.

We love Fox news! I have a bit of a problem with Glen Beck, but some of his programs are really good. But Fox news is certainly a alternative to CNN, and great for "straight talk" which I think most Canadians want.
