As others have stated here, we have no idea what this vaccine will do to us in the long run. As far as pregnant women, my doctor wouldn't even give me a regular flu shot this time last year while I was expecting. And neither will I give this shot to my children.

Yes, I'm scared. What if down the road those who had the H1N1 shot develop some long term side effects? Then what, another shot to fix that?
Adele, 2009-10-30 13:52:09
Government first strongly urge (even pleaded) that everyone should get vaccinated !!
Then later said there are more people than they expected to get the flu shot. Eh ?? What ??
Then they refused to open more clinics and run 24 hrs, claiming not enough staff etc to handle the load
Now they are saying there are not enough vaccines next week as additional supplies will be delayed.
Lack of planning + Lack of clinics/staff + Delayed vaccine supply = Deaths
As always, glad to see government efficiency and common sense at work in planning anything. Oh sure, they are trying their best...but as always, late and missing the target.

This irrational fear pumped into the general population about
swine flu is utterly ridiculous. The normal Flu that we're all used to has an astornomically larger impact on the enitre
World than swine flu.
Quote from the World Health Organization (WHO) about annual Flu outbreaks globally, "Although difficult to assess, these annual epidemics are
thought to result in between three and five million cases of severe illness and between 250 000 and 500000 deaths every year around the world."(www.who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/
2003/fs211/en/)
Compare the numbers associated with swine Flu:
"As of 25 October 2009, worldwide there have been more than 440,000 laboratory confirmed cases of pandemic influenza
H1N1 2009 and over 5700 deaths reported to WHO."(www.who.int/
csr/don/2009_10_30/en/index.html)
Can someone please explain to me why such panic exists dueto the swine flu? Seriously people, this is insane!

There is lots of information about the vaccine on whack-job sites that may be highly questionable but searching well known respected sites is equally as disturbing. I'd reommend reading http://preventdisease.com/news/09/102609_Alert_Canadians_Arepanrix_vaccine_analysis.shtml before making any decision. Note: This site contains information about the Arepanrix™ H1N1 variant of the vaccine, and the AS03 adjuvant, administered in Canada.
Also, discuss the article with your GP.

I have had 2 angioplasti,1 stent put in my artery and 1 minor heart attack(i got to the hospital in time and they gave me a clot buster.)I ask why should anyone who isn't in a high risk group be allowed to get a flu shot ahead of those who are at a high risk? The line ups are also bizzare and it is clear that the people who have promoted the swine flu outbreak were not prepared.

What worries me is how easily people will just do something without thinking of the consequences. We are told to put something in our bodies that has not been long tested and they will just up and do it. If you actually listen very closely to the news and the barage of information that everyone is giving alot of it is contradictory. One says healthy people are dying but in another over 75% had underlying health issues. Now all of a sudden these new stats are coming out after how many have had the shots. This is not to be taken lightly folks. Is this what the world has come to - puppets. Doing what a group of people tell us and having everyone in a panic. That is what we need to be afraid of. I understand that it is not even available in some parts of Canada yet, what does that show us. Take a deep breath and think for a minute and then run to a clinic and stand in line for hours if that is what is right for you.

I am worried, but more so about the injection. If I get sick ill stay home but with a sweet little girl growing inside me am not risking a chance at autism or allergic reactions due to the shot itself. When shes born we can both get it then, and then thats a maybe, we'll see how people fair who received it before getting it ourselves.

I'm not subjecting myself or my children to an untested vaccine rushed into production.
We've all had the flu this season anyway.

And how disgusting it is to see Boob Rae jumping in front of the camera and trying to score plotical points off the tragic deaths of Canadians from H1N1. Blothering about vaccines and timing and trying to pin these deaths on the government. Forget the facts that seasonal flu is more deadly, yet many people do not get a seasonal flu vaccine, nor is there any evidence that if the H1N1 vaccine were available a few weeks earlier, that these or any future deaths would have been prevented, esp considering the relatively low take rate on the H1N1 vaccine to begin with (all you need is to sense the paranoia in this forum regarding this vaccine). Oh sure, there are masisve lineups now, but that is just panic reaction...many people in these lines probably wouldn't have been there if it wasn't for the tragic death of the 13 year old healthy kid.
Nothing short of shameful. Boob, you continue to surprise me as to how low you can go.
