I think its a great idea to get a flu shot. I just think I'll wait a bit, until a few million guinea pigs take it first. Especially after Barak made it so that all legal responsibilities of the pharmaceutical companies making the flu vaccines were waived in the US (I am sure Canada will follow suit). Wonder if he knows something we don't? Bailed out enough bankrupt big businesses?

Well, my concern is not whether or not to take the vaccine. We will take it, if only we can get it. I live in Alberta and waited for hours yesterday and was eventually told that the H1N1 vaccine had run out. Not enough planning put into the distribution. Elderly people and people with a couple of kids in tow have a very hard time standing in a line for hours on end. This vaccine should be distributed at school and doctor's offices. As far as the vaccine or not subject. Well, I'd rather be safe than forever sorry!! Now if we can just find a line up that doesn't run out. Oh and this is Canada, let's leave the conspiracy theories to the South, where is mostly originates. So much for my 2 cents worth.

Well, everyone has their own opinions, but in order for me to believe any media information out there i need some clarification. Till now there have not been any iformation provided as if this poor boy really died of H1N1? Could this possibly have been a regular flu combined with aneurysm? Could this have been something else? Has there been an autopsy performed? From my understanding it takes at least 2 weeks for autopsy results to come back. Also H1N1 flu symptoms resemble same as the one of other flu, how do we know it was H1N1? Does it mean that anyone who dies will be considered to have died from H1N1? There were a lot of similar deaths previously never reported, why now during the flu 'outbreak' it is considered a swine flu death? I am not totally oposing against media, but why there isn't enough information provided to prove? Where do the statistics come from; eg. there is a second wave of influenza coming our way...give me facts and logic and I might believe for now i am very skeptical.

Nope not at all. Everyone got bent out of shape over SARS. Personally i think we could use a good outbreak to lower the population, but anyway...just put the purell stuff in the schools, workplaces and malls. I mean is that stuff very expensive compared to lives? if anything, that will work better i think than a flu vaccination.

What to do? Well the decision all rests with the individuals right to choose...however I feel strongly about poeple spreading their opinion and advising others not to take the vaccine...what good do these people have in dong this? personal satisfaction in saying that a "conpiracy theory is evolving with governement about the information and the effect of the vaccine"..give me a break..these people watch way too much drama television... what are the odds of getting sick from this vaccine or any other vaccine in the past; as opposed to diying from the H1N1 virus cause it was contracted and nothing was done to prevent it? Vaccines have been around for ages, for other illnesses, and I would suspect that if we check the newspapers from these periods, we will most probably finf some propaganda about some "gov"t theory"..however how many of these vaccines have caused widespread death compared to how much damage such a virus can cause....so people please stop the false propaganda, and be smart to the fullest based on PROPER information...

In my opinion get the vaccine for your sake, your families sake and others around you who care, and co-workers who want to see their family intact without having to explain why they contracted the virus from a co-worker and could not do much about it!

The mortality rate for all confirmed cases of this strain of H1N1 is somewhere around 0.1% in the US according to Wikipedia. Over 400 people per week die from the seasonal flu. Which do you think I am more concerned about? The vaccine that they tell us is safe with few side effects began clinical trials on September 25, how exactly can they be sure it is safe since they started production before it was tested and it has only been in testing for a month?

As parents we would like to send our condolences out to the Frustaglio family. I hope Evan's father doesn't blame himself for his son's death. This H1N1 virus is something new and unpredictable. It affects each person individually. Children get colds and flu's and usually recover. We are dealing with something much more extreme here. Listen to Mr. Frustaglio when he says keep a close eye on your children.

Some research needs to be done by some people commenting on this post.

If you were to take a look back 10 years, flu shots/influenza doses have NOT decreased the amount of people falling ill.

They claim this stuff to be medicine but what they actually inject you with is a string of THAT virus. Basically, they inject you with the flu so you get sick and that in hopes your body can build it's immunity to that string of virus.

What they are failing to state is just that, and if we were to take a look back at how many deaths of supposed Swine Flu (H1N1) have had underlying medical causes, you will see that it is particularly going after a certain group of people.. meaning those that are more susceptible to those kinds of things.

That vaccine is a joke, the government probably won't take responsibility for the side effects or even the long-term effects it could have on a person, as well as I believe that the vaccine is just a string of this virus to get you sick so your body hopefully becomes immune to it.

That doesn't protect the people around you, sorry to say.

As for the person who commented about coffee chains and dirty money, MONEY in general is dirty and you don't have to work at a coffee shop to handle dirty money, so get your facts right.

This goes for ANYTHING you consume, not just coffee. Plates, utensils, glasses.. if you're that worried about a coffee cup rim, take your own mug or even your own pre-packaged fork/knive/spoon sets.

Don't go trying to blame the coffee chains when YOU as a consumer of food products are just as guilty as anyone else who consumes these or handles money.

My family will NOT be getting this vaccine. Not enough research and I am about 99% sure that it is exactly like all the other "vaccines" out there. Just a string of the virus to MAKE you get sick.
