Bahh.. I watch the family etc. I am not worried about H1N1 and personally I don't trust it because it hasn't been properly tested.

I am a senior citizen I remember going through this foolishness some years ago. It was not hyped so much as by the medea then as it is today. However it still caused a panic. back then. What you say? Swine Flu.I didn't get a flu shot then and will not get one now. Suprise! I'm still here.

scare tactics.

"Health Minister Leona Aglukkaq says production "over-estimating" by the company producing the H1N1 vaccine and a panicked public are to blame for the shortages now gripping the country."
Incompetent people always blame others and truly never understand.
Blaming others clearly shows a total lack of leadership and incompetence at management.

I have some actual good news that has to do with H1N1. My three year old nephew caught H1N1, did not receive any vaccination or anything and survived. My sister in law said he did get really sick but was never worse then when he is sick with the regular flu. But you will never hear the survival stories like this one from any news station. Even though there are thousands more people who catch H1N1 and survive ande survive, the only headlines we will ever see are the few who didn't make it. And I'm sure we will never know the full story of those who don't survive. I'm also sure that if someone dies from H1N1 that has been vaccinated, tthere is a good chance that they may leave out the fact the person was vaccinated. Same as we will probably never know how many people if any will die due to get vaccinated. Journalism seems to be very selective lately.

PROVINCIAL PROBLEM!
westwind64:
I have to disagree with you because my mother lives in Ontario, she`s a nurse & she received her influenza shot over a month ago. Soon she will be taking the H1N1 vaccine.
In Quebec, I called for the influenza shot & was told it will be given out on in January. Next week, children under 5, pregnant women, etc...will be getting their H1N1 shots, in our area.
Seems like a Provincial decision or not enough work staff or quantity of vaccines for the H1N1 or Influenza (seasonal) flu shot.
wantvaccine:
The Miltary just vaccinated the Recruits (manditory)on Saturday & today the other Military (volunteer). So it`s not just the Olympic personnel? They are probably trying to vaccinate the larger groups, since they live & travel all over Canada & the world.

Wait til H1N1 virus start exchange genes with other flu viruses and mutate into something really really ugly...

Well said Brigand
uplink seems to think blood should be spilled (who's?) in order for people to get this un needed vaccine

The Canadian Flu H1N1 vaccine was tested on 160 or so Belgians. That was the basis on which Health Canada ok'd the vaccine. The vaccine does contain Thimerosal, which contrary to the opinion of the CDC and it's like, has been proven to be a cuasal factor in Autism. They just can't admit it due to the obviously immense liability issues. There are many web sites that refute the efficacy of vaccines, but are considered fringe or conspiracy theory sites. There is more than a grain of truth in their statements. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6890106663412840646#

This swine flue fiasco is even worse than the isotope fiasco.Anyone think that perhaps the swine flue vaccine producers might be holding back shipments to get the price up??? Our oil companies apparently do that all the time.Maybe not but all my respect for the pharmaceutical companies disappered long ago.The media have made this fiasco into a top news story causing county wide panic when hardly any Canadians have died from it.Certainly a lot less than those who have died from the regular flue, usually the elderly.Stll the people have a lot of questions that need to be answered by both the federal and provincial governments and refusing to take responsibility for screwing up and pointing fingers at each other just does not cut it anymore.Heads need to roll over this and the sooner the better.
