YES!! People are a bunch of dingle dongs. Boo hoo, the coffee is burnt, spend another dollar for a new one!

If you do complain about food or service in a restaurant please wait until after your meal. You do not want to know what kitchen staff might do to your food if you send a plate back to the kitchen.
Not_the_Daddy, 2010-03-18 12:52:15
efinitely, NOOOOOOOOO. why should they. inappropropiete food/service. what's wrong with complaining???????
janet livingston, 2010-03-05 21:42:22
I personally don't go to resraunts. And only sometimes to restaurants.
my view, 2010-03-02 16:34:52
That is dumb he was only complaining that it was burnt tasting I would complain too. I would see if he made a scene kick him out, but I think he only probably only asked for a new coffee. My goodness if you can't take clients the don't work plain and simple. Don't they ask for the clients comments though? Most restraunts do. Most of the ones I go to do.

Any business that values customer service does not have a problem with customer complaints. Complaints are customers who wish to keep patronizing the business provided you correct a concern they have. In other words, "they need to know what is boke so they can fix it". Most legitimate complaints can easily be resolved.
In this case he is not complaining he is harassing the staff and likes to be the center of attention so he has gone from being a customer with a concern to being abusive to the staff. Believe it or not people behind the counter, any counter, are humans too and are covered under the "bill of rights". Which means they don't have to take any excessive verbal abuse.
This guy clearly was verbally abusing the staff all to be the center of attention.
What a knob.

this moron was desperately seeking any form of attention...get out and stay out ya clown
moron, 2010-02-17 16:29:31
Yes, and whether they make "reasonable" efforts to address the complaint is irrelevant. They own the business which depends on customers for success. Customers are not obligated in any way to patronize the business, they don't like it for what ever reason, they never have to come back. If they complain, i don't see why the owner simply cannot say, fine, i don't need your business, stay away then. What is the problem? An owner is no going to start banning people left right and center for no reason, as they would be shutting down their cash flow and very existance, but they should still retain the right to ban problematic people regardless of specific reason, and they shouldn't be made to feel guilty about it.
The Crusher, 2010-02-17 12:41:50
Yes, but only after reasonable efforts have been made to address the customer's complaints. If reasonable efforts have been made and the customer is still disgruntled, then the problem is not staff or product, but the customer.
I do wonder if in this case there were other customers complaining about the same thing at the same time. If the paramedic was the only person smelling and tasting this burnt sensation, then obviously its something unique to him. Maybe he's one of those people with super-sensitve taste buds or maybe its a sign of a long term medical condition. I remember reading somewhere that a burning smell or taste is a symptom associated with a stroke or heart attack. Maybe the paramedic should be seeing a doctor to see if there is an organic explanation for what he was tasting and smelling.

If he doesn't like the coffee why would he want to go back?
Horton's should have banned him for being an idiot.
Must be a slow news month....
