What are your thoughts on WikiLeaks? Wed, May 30, 2012
Britain’s Supreme Court ruled on Wednesday WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange can be extradited to Sweden over alleged sex crimes, but gave him two weeks to seek to reopen the case.
Assange deserves some serious jail time for the number of lives he's put in danger. And as another poster here so aptly put it, the truth is not a crime, but fencing stolen property is a crime. Good bye and good riddance, criminal.

God you are all such idiots..When Valerie Plames name was leaked I wonder who could of been behind that (hint U S of ?) Whether this is a good thing or not (I happen to think information is good) all you freaks that want to be kept in the dark, go crawl in a hole. Hopefully the US will know when someone illegially downloads thousands of documents in the future and does a better job of preventing it then their airport security, no fly list etc.

Wiki leaks did not fence stolen property silly Crusher. They simply passed something along that was sent to them, same as forwarding an e-mail. In fact wiki was alao letting the Americans know to be more careful with their dirty little secrets and lies
EH?

I had to read ChangeSeeker's post several times trying to decide if that person was trying to indulge in facetiousness, or actually trying to be serious.
If the latyter, it has to be the most simplistic, naive position I've ever run across. Surely this person CAN'T be serious when saying "As far as soldiers lives in Danger, well its' not the revealing of truth that did it. It's all the lies that have put them in danger. The lies that put them in harms way for dishonest agendas."
Do you think world peace can be attained by everyone laying down arms and just chatting amiably over a cup of tea? Let's say, for argument's sake, TOTAL world peace was attained. Everyone is happy. Then one day, one group says, to Hell with this - I want more. And so develops arms and begins to take what they want. Who, then, puts a stop to such actions?
That may be simplistic as well - but it makes more sense than that Pollyanna drivel.

Trueth!
The Bible says something like the Men like darkness rather then light because their deeds are evil.
If its true and you say it whats the problem.

The whole thing excites me. Perhaps this is a step towards change. The government should already be telling the truth.
WHy are we so upset that Lies and corruption are being revealed? This is a chance to start doing things with more integrity and accountability.
Julian is brave for putting himself on the line like this. In time we will look back and he will be a hero. For me he is already a hero.
As far as soldiers lives in Danger, well its' not the revealing of truth that did it. It's all the lies that have put them in danger. The lies that put them in harms way for dishonest agendas.
The government is supposed to represent the people!! So the people should start demanding this. No more secrets!!!

The truth is not a crime, but fencing stolen property is a crime. Accepting documents that you KNOW are stolen and publishing them on the internet is no different tham a pawn shop owner reselling items that he KNOWS are stolen. Actuaklly it is worse, because pawn shop activities are limited to the local neighbourhood, not the entire world. It is a crime regardless. Assange is nothing more than a low life internet pawn shop operator.

"Anonymous" hackers, malevolent supporters of Wikileaks, are targetting a teenager in California for creating a website opposing the use of swear words. Anonymous says this is restricting freedom of speech. Sheer nonsense. My congratulations to the teen and his family for refusing to back down.

Since when is the truth a crime? FREE JULIAN ASSANGE!!!

Oh, they are stupid alright. Their reasoning for the attacks is to prevent censorship of the internet, but they are misguided by their own idiocy. They say once something is posted on the internet, it cannot be removed regardless of how it got there, as it is in the public domain and removal would equate to censorship. Who is their strategizer? must be Mrs twitless brigand?
that is the equivalent of saying that if thieves steal your property and fence it you can no longer expect to get it back because the pawn shop is in the public domain. Talk about twitless reasoning!
