When I read the following article, I wasn't sure where to post this - here or in the thread dealing with the CBC. But I finally decided this, the most current thread, was the place:

http://blogs.canoe.ca/eyeonthehill/cbc/cbc-is-unhinged-over-wikileaks/

It seems the Left-slanted CBC is bound and determined to bring down the Harper government before he gets a majority and brings THEM down. Where they belong. In the trash heap of history, to paraphrase one of their historical heroes.

"The Arabs, not just Muslims, have a serious hate on for the West and particularly the U.S"

Actually, most countries in the world hate the Americans, for always causing so many problems for the rest of the world with their war mongering and greed

EH?

Not to worry. According to the Hoffington Post, we are all going to die because of the socialist leader Obama: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/07/28/tim-lahaye-evangelical-ch_n_662621.html

Another day, another hidden socialist Utopia agenda goes up in smoke!

If there had been such a leak in early 1942 during WW2 then the situation we were in would of been much bleaker, Germany was in control of Europe. Japan was in control of the

Pacific and we were having ships sunk by Nazi subs in the St. Lawrence. In 1942 if the populations of the Allies really knew how bleak the situation was and how the Allies themselves did not get along so great, with the Americans and British disagreeing on tactics. The moral would of plummetted and it may have contributed to us loosing the war. The government knew the public could not digest the situation and kept it from us. This is the case now and WikiLeaks should not only be condemned but charged.

Jay from Ottawa, 2010-07-27 15:55:19 Posted: "Maybe if the west hadn't been pissing on the middle east for the last few decades we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place."

The Arabs, not just Muslims, have a serious hate on for the West and particularly the U.S. because of our support for ISRAEL. The U.S. logistical and arms support to ISRAEL in 1967 wherein the Israels butt whipped Syrian, Jordanian, Lebanese, Egyptian, Iraqi, Sudanese, Tunisian, Moroccan and Algerian forces ensures their bad will forever. This 7 day war changed the geographical and political boundaries in the middle east and thwarted their plan to slaughter every Israeli: man, woman and child.

NOW, they want to return to pre-1967 borders as if the Arabs would have returned any land or allowed any Israeli to survive what was a planned genocide.

We need only to look at the Viet Nam Kies and the Iraqui lies and the Cambodian lies as well as several other activities to form a logical answer to this. I firmly beleive the reports to be true and both Canada and the USA are in cover up mode.

One can only shudder at the things done to entire villages in Viet Nam and Iraq and never told. Is this any different.

Something else to keep in mind, which would suggest that some of the leaked docs could be missleading and fake, is that it hasn't been very long since the video was leaked on wikileaks about the US helicopter that killed half a dozen unarmed civilians (reporter, photographer, and some poor shmuck who tried to help the wounded journalist) so I wouldn't be surprised in the least if they deliberatly released tons of documents containing nothing special and slipped in docs which will later be proven false, in hopes that it can discredit wikileaks and therefore step further away from the leaked apache video. The people working the wars PR campaing aren't stupid, that we can count on.

Maybe if the west hadn't been pissing on the middle east for the last few decades we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place. Anybody ever hear of Operation Ajax ? Trust me, these guys aren't all up in arms simply because we have different values, they're getting revenge for the west pissing in their cereal for the last however long we've had our willies out. Afghanistan is just us trying to fix the mess we made before it gets any worse.

I saw Beak and Tweety smoking doobies together on wikileaks. They were watching Cheech and Chong.

"Hopefully the revealations in these documents will help to end this illegal occupation."

care to explain this "illegal occupation" opinion you have?

try and use facts now, not your internet based ignorance, aka wiki.

I have learned through a friend in the US Army that the private who copied the information and then gave it to this organization is to be charged with treason, among other crimes, and will be found guilty and sent away for life. I hope his 15 minutes of fame is worth spending his/her time in a US Military prison. This will be pure hell for him/her as those that commit treason are treated extremely harshly in military prisons. Death would be a far better place....
