Listen folks, these people are alot more clever than you think. If you send them back, the snakeheads will come to them for money, you let them stay the money comes from somewhere. Who pays that, get jobs or loans. If they insist on the dangers of going back home or snakeheads, they could have legit reasons for staying becuase of dangers. Canada has a legal procedure to apply for landed Immigrant Status and thousand of people obay the laws and apply the correct way.

It may entail a lot of paperwork etc. but if you really are serious, what's the problem?

Doing it the incorrect way only causes me to think that YOU could not pass as a legal immigrant going by the book.

50,000 immigrants are permitted into Canada every year. The amount of inductees suggests that we are willing to take all who apply, therefore we should take a very harsh view of those who attempt to circumnavigate the system to their own benefit. These people should be returned to their home country and be allowed to re-apply at their own costs, not the Canadian Tax Payer.

Since when did it become unfair or "Me First" to want to protect what you have worked your whole life to build. If the world thought that way 70 or so years ago you'd now be speaking German. Let me rephrase that; "Nazi German", I know and respect quite a few German people who have made the effort to immigrate legally to Canada.

If you're truly proud of what's right in this world, how can you support queue jumpers? I'll bet you'd be PO'd if someone cut in front of you in a theater line-up. Isn't it worse to cut in front of someone else in the immigration line-up?

From what I see there are a lot of assumers and presumers commenting on several media sites. I would hope that people would have a rational mentality toward this situation. WE can't say they will be a drain on taxpayers until it is established that they are. Assuming something doesn't cut it. These people should have been turned away with forms to fill out back home like all other legal immigrants. NO jumping the Queue ..Period !

It is past time that we reopen the charter that PET adopted and get rid of several items that are a detriment to Canadian society. We need a rational common sense attitude toward the way things are done.
