Posties back to work: Are you happy? Wed, June 15, 2011
Mail service will resume early this week after a 58-hour Opposition filibuster ended Saturday night when MPs passed a contentious bill to end a national postal disruption.
Great, now i have to clean the crap out of my mailbox again.....well it was a nice break. To bad it couldn't have lasted longer.

Well, A Postie, there must be a lot of people hopping around with bullet holes in their feet if you're correct. This from an article today: "As 'Solidarity forever!' rings out at union halls, most Canadians have refused to lock arms with organized labour in two recent strikes.
A new Abacus Research poll ... has found 60% of Canadians ... say they supported this month's federal back-to-work legislation for Canada Post and Air Canada employees.
Pollster David Coletto says he's rarely seen public opinion line up so strongly with a decision by the government of Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
Majorities in every province supported the back-to-work bills. At 68% in favour of the legislation, Ontario stood out as the most anti-union province in the poll.
Perhaps surprisingly, even though the NDP led the filibuster in the House of Commons against the Canada Post back-to-work bill, only 44% of New Democrat voters said they opposed the bill, while 43% supported it."
Wake up to reality.

I'm happy to be working again, but unhappy with Canada Post for locking us out in the first place.
People who aren't supportive of unions are only shooting themselves in the foot. Employers use union wages as a yardstick on what to pay their non-union employees, and while people can argue that they get less because of it, it's also true that driving down the union wages will ENSURE you get EVEN LESS....people need to wake up.
The super rich WANT people attacking unions as overpaid, because it keeps the middle class and lower income groups too busy to band together and question why Harper won't take the GST off gas prices, despite the HUGE inflation caused by skyrocketing pump charges.
Be happy you have your mail coming...use it to write your MP and ask for the GST to be removed, provincially and federally, because commodity speculators are causing gas to not reflect demand..the price of a barrel doesn't justify our current prices.

The postal employees union is accelerating the rate at which the relevance of Canada Post diminishes.
This does no credit to the members of these unions and should serve as a warning to other unions.
The world is changing and the way the unions operate has not.
Public sector unions are beneath contempt.

The question is: are you happy posties are back to work? "That's all"! I'm happy because my friend is happy (not a postie) that he can go back to work.
Now how about ANSWERING THE FLIPPING QUESTION?!

I am confused. If i didn't like a job I got another.I never was able to tell my employer how to run his business,or demand a higher wage. That would lead to being fired/dismissed. They are lucky to have a job at the high rate for the skill required.Thousand would gladly take the positions even at a lower rate.Unions are geting to bankrupt us all, just more all the time .That more has to come from someones pocket being mine and yours.Contract the mail out to best Price.

Sell the Canada Post !

CP knows that it is a fish out of water, we are witnessing the last dying breaths. Starting wage $24 for delivering mail in a truck to a small box! Good greif, for the skill set required minimum wage plus a couple bucks for passing an enhanced backround check. Unions were about fair work hours, safe work environments and fair pay; this is extortion and greed that that Canadians have no choice than to pay for. Fire them all, disband the union, and hire people who would be happy to have full time job.
