heres 2 updated verses of 'oh zombieland', more inclusive for the chinese and feminist communities; 'we build houses, which china gets, because our women wont make clothing. The more houses we build, the more gorbies they bring in, its called the boomer housing strategy

oh zombieland, we didnt go to nam, now we vote, for all our sons to live in vans. For Gorbachev, we see the rise, of our debt clock and oap, we double-dip to sleep on desks, from sea to sea to sea. Gorby keep our land, for your soldiers rent free, oh zombieland our workers sleep on the street. OH ZOMBIELAND boomers vote for everything free

We built the "social safety net" everyone enjoys and we paid in for our life time. Younger people sit and collect welfare or EI and cry for more money. The politician's get not a gold plated pension it's a full 24K for only performing a few years of service. Younger people only want, want, want and never to give. We built it..it's ours don't touch it.

Just dont say anything remotely funny, or have any fun whatsoever. Just be a pleasant commy robot, and cry for the ageing hippys as you take their crap for pennies and pay them huge amounts of rent

If by 'ageing population' you are referring to the 'retired' politicians, then the answer is absolutely.

But then they already are a burden that we can no longer afford, what with their platinum and gold plated (not to mention totally outrageous) pensions.

In 08, if they held on for a few days, the banks would of had billions of liquid cash from renters on the first of the month, assuming the landlords werent buying cocaine...during the great depression and the recent meltdown and all the other setbacks, people still had food, clothing, and shelter. Our hippys have sold our food & shelter to the soviets for clothing

In 08, Wise old John McCain tried to get all the banker/govt people together and find real solutions to the problem. But obama just gave the wallys who caused the problem more money with no strings. sad day

Well, the majority of us do grow old don't we?

Things I will regret saying when I get older, but now I'm middle aged, with an opinion.

Ahem...

1) Lets talk about the driving ...everyday, i see perplexed, dizzying, slow, lost, and dangerous drivers ( yes arguably young as well) but mostly people that look through the steering wheel to see, and they are indeed way over the reactive/proactive driving age to be safe. nuf said.

2) Health - yes we will all be there..i got that covered, but i went to give blood the other day before work, and i went at 620 for 7 am opening at the clinic. I was #43. I was the youngest in line. The old folks have been up for hours, and this was something they looked forward to as part of their daily walk. We also keep people alive until they disappear in the hospital bed. Something must change. Euthanasia..freedom of choice...life...etc.

3) Tax base...the older we live past our productive years, the more we become an anchor in the democratic capitalistic lifestyle we chose to live in...we become a burden.

But, I loved my grandparents when they were around, they showed love, caring, and careful advice as they saw it. My Granddad saw WW1 and WW2, and I owe him lots....

so - let them drive but give them their own lane, allow them blood work, but only at certain hours, and find ways to have them productive in society, to give back ...afterall, if we all take, there will be nothing to give...

confused...ya...me too

I agree with buzz. The worlds wealthy seniors SHOULD be a huge cash cow for good ol Canada. We love seniors. Not like those americans on school buses

The simon fraser institute says we should import 600,000 a year. Make it a million, for the next 20 years. Retirement home developers need to make a living, so its only fair that seniors from china, russia, and india bid on those units.
