Canada's reputation has gone to hell thanks to Harper.

I agree with the other comments, he is the worst PM in history. I laugh at some of these comments, and I quote, Harper is an honest caring person??? oh man wake up and get out of this fairy land place you live in, all he cares about is lining his pockets and ruining Canada, the best place on earth.

Look at Europe. Look at the US. Look at us under the Conservatives. Harper has been a competent PM that has kept us out of the messes plaguing the rest of the world, so when you look at the alternatives...like him or not, he's by far the best we have and have had for a long time. Those in this thread who are trashing him are the usual Liberals who are still in denial that they are no longer the "natural" governing party. Get over it. Get used to it. We had the possibility of being Greece with snow if we did not have a government with the resolve to do the right things. True, his personality does not gain him any favour but really....I'd rather have substance than personality. No one will ever hit it 100 % perfect, but put him up against his rivals in the Liberals and the new version of the Bloc Party and he will always be the best man for the job.

I truly believe this government is one of the best this country has ever seen. Strongest country in the G7. That's no accident. Could you imagine what shape we would be in if we had a socialist governemnt like the NDP in right now? We would be the Greece of North America. Who by the way has a socialist government. People forget that people need to work to pay for those socialist programs. We have a leader who stands up for Canada and for what is right. I'm damned proud of Stephen Harper and what he has accomplished. God bless him and Canada.
